Number of disappointed fans increases (2007/04/15)
If you're an active member of an online OR community, this may no longer suprise you (you might even be one of disappointed ones ^_~). In the online forum I'm participating in, a lot of fans have been claiming that they've been disappointed with OR's stuffs lately-- specially since the release of the 4th album "ORANGE RANGE". They complain of how much OR's style have changed since their debut and how their Singles have not been doing well with the charts lately. I understand what they're trying to say with the changes in styles and all... but I don't exactly share their sentiments of disappointment. I actually enjoyed the new album, I know it's quite different from their previous albums, but it's really not that bad in my opinion :D To be honest, I immediately grew fond of "ORANGE RANGE", unlike "NATURAL" wherein it actually took me quite some time before I was able to appreciate it (except for songs released in Singles). Anyway, some even blame OR's change in Katchan withdrawal from the band-- you might share that idea, but again, I don't. Since Katchan's departure, the only Single that I didn't actually like is "UN ROCK STAR" (and I'm even aware that a lot actually likes it) but for the rest like "KIZUNA", "Champione", "Walk On" and "SAYONARA" I'm completely in love with! While as for "Ika SUMMER", though I have to admit that I agree with the others when they say that it sounds 'chaotic', I still like it a lot! ^o^
As an ORANGE RANGE fan, reading reactions like this from other fans, it's really sad. I'm not blaming them, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But still, it's really sad~ As OR's style changes, some old fans withdraw while new fans are being attracted. It's sad because it seems that compared to the number of new fans they're gaining, they're losing more old ones :( I still love ORANGE RANGE, and I think more than ever, they need our solid support now.

Single review: Champione (2006/04/30)
*cough~* I hope reading my review on "Squeezed" didn't made you think I no longer like ORANGE RANGE! ^^ ..."There's a rainbow always after the rain~" In this case, there's the "Champione" single after the "Squeezed" album ^O^ Wai~~~ Their latest Single called "Champione" with its B-side, "Walk On" will soon be released (2006/05/10) and I can't wait! ^o^ I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! >_< I've been in love with "Walk On" even during the first time I heard it on their Hey! Hey! Hey! Live performance, eventhough back then, some people were disappointed because it's another slow song >_< And then there's "Champione", another great song, more upbeat and has the usual, if not better, 'ORANGE RANGE fun' that we all love ^O^ . People, we're talking about a 'super Single' here! The carrier single "Champione" will be used for NHK's cover for the Soccer Conference in Germany. The song itself is really great, and with the promotion of a famous television channel like NHK, this one is sure to be a GREAT HIT! <(^O^)> . And the B-side track "Walk On" isn't just an extra baggage either-- the song is used as the Ending Song for the new movie "Chekeraccho!" (2006/04/22) and as a CM song for "Town and Country". Wai!!! isn't it great?! I'm pretty sure that this Single will sky-rocket at the Oricon charts specially since the PVs for both songs have already been released (yes, BOTH!) *_* Wai~ I'm soo excited~~~ WEE!!! ...*cough* ooops, got'ta go~ it's cleaning time *wipes the drool on the computer keyboard* ^_~

Album review: Squeezed (2006/04/30)
Okay, I'll get straight to the point.. If you're new to ORANGE RANGE's music and wishes to hear more of their music, the Squeezed album if definitely NOT for you. I'll be honest, Squeezed is *bad* enough to disappoint even hardcore OR fans. Personally speaking, this isn't a cd that I'll be listening for more than 2 "Repeat All Tracks" on my discman (and even then, I still wouldn't have enjoyed half of what I've listened to). I strongly suggest that unless you're a huge OR fan, who would like the have their hands on anything ORANGE RANGE, you should first listen to each track and then decide whether or not you'll buy it. Personally speaking, I enjoyed a couple of tracks in the album (specially Natural Pop) but regardless of how the album turned out, I've already decided that I'll buy the CD-- even if it's just for collection purpose, and I really want to support ORANGE RANGE. But if you're a fan who can't afford to buy it, then you'll be better off listening to the mp3s instead (just so that you won't miss anything ^_~ ). Again, like what I've said before for non-hardcore OR fans, you should first listen to the FULL version of each track before you decide to buy it. Why? for one, the sample tracks I've uploaded on the discography section are mostly just the good parts~
I know I've already said a lot of negatives stuffs about the album, BUT STILL! You should decide for yourself ^o^ This review is just one opinion. The tracks range from best to worst remixes, it still depends on you as to how you'll rate it as a whole album.
For those who have already listened to the album, well... what's your opinion? ^-^

My
one-year anniversary with ORANGE RANGE ^O^ (2006/04/08)
Wee~~~ now that I think about it, it was around the month
of March-April last year that I first 'met' ORANGE RANGE ^^
My very first OR song was "Viva Rock" (through Naruto
OST), then "Hana", "Michishirube" &
"Kirikirimai". Soon after, I saw the PV of "Hana"
and "michishirube" and before I knew it, I have
completely fallen in love with OR. Wow~ I can't believe that
it's only been a year since I knew the existence of OR~ It
feels like I've known them longer-- and I wish that I really
have >_< Oh well, I'm just happy that I'm no longer
on missing any OR goodness now ^^ Waii~ looking back at their
"kirikirimai" days and now, they've grown much more
mature. Somehow I understand that level of their maturity
since I'm also born on the same generation as the OR members
(1984). I just really hope that OR will stay being OR for
a loooong period of time~ and I'll make sure that I'll be
there on their 10th year anniversary concert ^_~ I wish ORANGE
RANGE the best of Luck and God-given blessings, and I hope
that in the years to come we'll all still be able to listen
to more and more of their wonderful songs, watch more and
more of their hyper performances and get to know more and
more of their fun and loving personalities ^O^

How the 3 vocalists
handle their microphones ^^ (2006/ 01/ 26)
hahaha~ I've been thinking about it for quite some time now...
I think it's really interesting how the 3 vox handle their
mic ^o^
Yamato: firm grip with index finger touching tip of his nose
Ryo: clipped alternately between his fingers ^^ (also heard
he's left-handed ^_~ )

Hiroki: firm grip with thumb touching side of lips

...Wee~ don't you think it's kind'a err~ cute? ^o^

Ryo's tattoos (2006/ 01/ 26)
Is it just me? or do I see some markings on Ryo's arms and
shins of what seems to be tattoos? ...I first noticed it on
the Locolotion PV-- only rings around his left arm. Later
on, I also noticed fairly visible ones (looks like a chain
at first glance) on his left shin. And since I decided to
post this 'thought', I scanned through my other OR videos
again and noticed 2 more on both shoulders ("Onegai!
Señorita" PV)... and a small one on his right
shin ("Love Parade" PV)
Well, seeing these images, I'll no longer ask whether or not
Ryo actually have these tattoos... my only question now is~
are they real? I mean, are they like~ really permanent ones?
@_@ ...urk~ that's probably a stupid question >_<;
~~~~~~~~~~~~oooOooOooOooo~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm wondering whether or not Yamato likes to play baseball. For one, we saw him in the Kizuna PV where he's throwing pitches and all. Afterwards, when I watched their backstage shots from their DVDs, I saw him swinging a made-up bat during the making of Rakuyou. Also, you'll see him again throwing practice pitches at the backstage of "Chesuto" PV set. Hmm~ so, does he have a special liking in baseball? ...Err~ then again, Japanese people loves baseball just like Americans love Basketball. ^^;;;
random thoughts
about the members of ORANGE RANGE (2006/01/13)
» Hiroki: does he have poor eye sights?
I've seen him wearing eyeglasses on backstage shots, as well
as when he's doing their radio program.... or is just props?
»Yamato: speaking of bad eyesights...
lately, Yamato's been wearing eye glasses as well... again,
is it because of poor eyesight or another fashion prop? (I
was sooo happy when I noticed that Yamato's eye glasses are
the same as the one I have ^o^)
»Yoh: as I was watching the backstage
shots of ORANGE RANGE, I realized something.... wow!!! Yoh does speak! hehehe~~~ I honestly want to know more
about him ^^
»Ryo: hmm~ I rarely see his and Yoh's
resemblance as siblings (except in their baby pics), do you?
I also think that he's the only member who's actually trying
to build a more 'macho' body >_< In CDTV's special feature
on ORANGE RANGE (2005.07.16), they showed Ryo's room... it
was soo clean and there was also barbells in it ^o^
»Naoto: yup, eventhough he looks quiet,
he's definitely a member of the nutty group (Hiroki, Yamato).
He also performs a lot of silly moves and comments a lot ^o^
Yamato's
popularity in Japan (2006/01/13)
Normally, when I have to pick my favorite member in a group,
I tend to go for the 'under dogs', and I actually thought
that I'd done the same in having Yamato as my most favorite
OR member... then again, maybe not. I've been participating
in an online forum and there I realized that Yamato is not
exactly an 'underdog' member and is actually a popular pick
among fans, specially in Japan. How could I tell? well, in
the forum I'm currently participating in, when asked who are their 2
favorite OR members, Yamato is often one of the two. Also,
another member of the forum, "blue cat",
apparently went to Japan to watch OR perform in one of their
NATURAL tour concerts and he said that in the concert, there
are actually a lot of people who are cheering for Yamato and
that there are also a number of people who have Yamato t-shirts,
or have hand-written "yamato" on it. I was actually
quite surprised to know this... before, I actually thought
that I'm only a few among the people who like him-- I thought
that the most popular members might be Hiroki & Ryo (and
Katchan). Also, when I finally got my OR DVDs and watched
their live performances, I also have to agree that the crowd
puts up more noise when Yamato is doing his parts ^^ . Well,
what do you think?
Discovering ORANGE
RANGE: (2005/10/12)
She only knew about the existence of Orange Range last April
2005. The first OR song she heard was "Viva
Rock" from the Naruto OST. She then decided to try
listening other OR songs, her first songs were-- "Asterisk", "Hana", "Michishirube", "Fever" and "Kirikirimai".
She accepted OR's talent after listening to "Asterisk" and "Hana" (without knowing at first that the former was used as a theme
for "Bleach" and the latter for the movie "Ima,
Ai ni Yukimasu"). Still, by then. she wasn't an OR addict
yet... soon after, she saw the PV of "Michishirube"
and "Hana"... at first, she wondered how weird it
was for a japanese to have an afro hair, she then took notice
of that afro guy. She kept of watching "Michishirube"
and "Hana", trying to figure out the "before
and after" version of each member... and alas! next thing
she realized, she was ogling at Yamato as she kept on watching
over and over and over and over Yamato's part on the "Hana"
PV again and again ang again and again! (mou ichido~ mou
ichido~ mainichi~ mainichi~). Oh well~ and the rest is
history. ^0^
Please don't get the wrong idea, I really like Yamato but
it doesn't mean that I love orange range only because of him.
It was only because of Yamato that I gave extra attention
to OR in the first place but it didn't took me long to fall
in love to ORANGE RANGE as group. Now, I love every bit of
Orange Range's music. Yamato and the OR visuals are just added
bonus for female fans like myself because their music is loud
and great enough to make you shout "Kirikirimai!!!"
just by listening.. even wihtout seeing them ^o^ . I mean,
come on~ you may not like rap music but admit it! either "Viva
Rock" or "Asterisk" got you hooked badly-- whether you liked it or not ~_^
ayanosuke01 created this ORANGE RANGE fansite
because of her obsession and love for OR and Yamato <(^o^)>
. She lives in the South-east part of Asia, in one of the
7,107 islands of a country called Philippines. She only knows
how to read/ write hiragana and katakana, understands a few
Kanji and have a basic level knowledge in Nihonggo. Err~ what
I'm actually trying to say here is that I only know that much
and most of the orange range infos on the net is in japanese,
so I'm sorry If I wasn't of much help in giving any OR infos.
And jpop isn't exactly popular here except for anime-fanatics
:D
